— THE STORY —
Robert Stevenson's Bell Rock Lighthouse was an engineering miracle. Built on a tidal rock 11 miles from land, workers had only 2-3 hours per tide to lay stone. It took four years. The light first burned on February 1, 1811, and has never gone dark since.
